Bringing the family together, one noodle at a time.

There are some days when I wonder what planet my family came from, and I’m sure I’m not alone. We’ve all had those days: family outings go haywire, family vacations end up like they were orchestrated by National Lampoon, and family dinners get too loud. Most of the time I spend with my family seems like that. But there are those times, though they are few and far between, that I actually enjoy spending time with them. Not that I don’t normally enjoy my family, but most of the time it’s not the whole family; it’s easier to handle when it’s broken up into smaller chunks. :]

One such time was last night at dinner. I cooked Italian from the book “Skinny Italian” by Teresa Giudice from The Real Housewives of New Jersey. My family sat down, after complaining that I was taking so long to cook (sorry, but real food takes some time. I can’t just stick it in the microwave! Silly.), and we had a nice time. Normally, with the little girls causing a ruckus, my parents get too stressed to have a normal conversation. Then the girls get restless so they keep moving around, causing more stress. This time, however, it was a little later so the girls were already fed and in bed. That was nice. So I guess it wasn’t a full family meal, but it was close to it.

And Goal Number 5 is to cook through a cookbook, and this is the one I’m using. It’s fantastic! You should buy it :]

Ciao! <3
